Slade Wilson made things personal in this week’s Arrow when he kidnapped Thea. As Moira worried about her daughter’s safety, Roy, Sara and Oliver teamed up to sedate Slade and then had Detective Lance arrest him. But Slade had covered his tracks well and the police didn’t believe he could be involved in Thea’s kidnapping. Team Arrow was prepared to track Slade back to Thea when the police let him go, but Slade outsmarted them as well. And then he gave Thea a choice to leave or stay and learn Oliver’s secret.
Meanwhile, Isabel used Thea’s kidnapping to create a distraction. She teamed up with Slade to have him get rid of Thea so that Oliver would temporarily make her CEO and she could steal Queen Consolidated from him. It turns out that she’s a fighter like Slade and knows a great deal about Oliver’s nighttime activities. She sent him off to meet Slade and rescue Thea, but as Oliver fought his way through some goons, Slade liberated a bus full of prisoners to help build himself an army. Fortunately, Thea ended up safe and sound, but she was furious at Oliver. It turns out that Slade told her that Malcolm Merlyn was her father and that Oliver had known for years. Meanwhile, Slade delivered a bombshell to Laurel when he told her that Oliver is the Arrow.
Slade hits Oliver close to home in the next episode when Oliver, Sara, Diggle and Felicity return to the Arow lair and find Slade waiting for them. An epic fight ensues and one member of the team ends up in the hospital. Meanwhile, Thea nears her breaking point and Laurel struggles with knowing Oliver’s secret.
