Arrow Season 2 Preview: Has Oliver Failed Starling City?

by Clarissa / September 3, 2013

ArrowThe new trailer for season 2 of Arrow is certainly a stark reminder of the tragedy that occurred in the season 1 finale. In fact, the events of the first season means that everyone has lost something. As the characters remind us, Felicity lost her innocence, Roy lost his home when The Glades was destroyed, Laurel lost a man she cared about, and Oliver lost his best friend. Not only that, but Oliver failed Starling City. He couldn’t prevent Malcolm Merlyn from completing The Undertaking, but just because the battle is lost does not mean that the war is over.

When the show returns in October, we’ll be seeing copycat Arrow vigilantes in the city, but they don’t have Oliver’s restraint. And expect to see some familiar faces like China White. Oliver is a changed man now and Tommy’s death has upped the stakes in how he’ll be dealing with the people who are seeking to ruin his city.

Don’t miss the season premiere of Arrow on Wednesday, October 9th at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
