Chicago Fire Season 4 Premiere Sneak Peeks: Kidnapping, Candidates and Demotionsby Rebecca Riley / October 13, 2015
Last season on Chicago Fire, it was the cliffhanger of all cliffhangers as Gabriela went home to find her fiancé missing with signs of distress. Through released sneak peeks it looks like that storyline will come to a head when Matt is kidnapped. Asked about the location of Katia’s missing notebook, by Conway no less, he is then saved by the Chicago PD, so viewers can anticipate an exciting crossover with them. This tension comes to a boiling point later on when Conway and Casey meet again where Matt takes a swing, accusing him of killing Katia. The investigator insists he did everything he could to save the young woman working in the bar that the PD is investigating.
On a lighter note, a rookie candidate is brought to the 51 in a most unusual way. Stuffed in the trunk of a car, nearly naked, wrapped in foil, and reeking of beer he is not given a warm welcome, least of all by the Chief who immediately dismisses him from the Unit. We will have to wait and see if this is a permanent decision.
A different decision is being made at the Firehouse that will directly affect all the firefighters. Lieutenant Severide is being stripped of his title and role in light of the high turnover of employees over the past few months. Patterson is replacing a newly demoted Kelly but the change does not run smoothly as during a call the two exchange words where leadership is called into question.
Finally, an exciting plot about a half-way house being burned by residents in its own neighborhood make this episode a must-see!
Don’t miss the season premiere of Chicago Fire on October 13 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT on NBC.
