ABC Extends The Muppets Season With 3 More Episodesby calvin / October 29, 2015
The Muppets just got a new order extending the total number of episodes of the first season to 16. Originally slated to begin the season with just 13 episodes, after having seen moderate success, 3 extra episodes has been ordered. This new comedy TV series premiered last month, September 22, only a little over a month went by before it was extended a seemingly a thumbs up from the studio.
Initially the TV show started with a bit of a controversy. It was reported that an organization called One Million Moms was protesting that the show was not appropriate for family viewing and demanding the show to be boycotted. Another group, PTC also called for a boycott of the show claiming that millions of children were exposed to content not suitable for children.
The Muppets stars Steve Whitmire as Kermit the Frog, Rizzo the Rat, Beaker, Statler, and Lips. Eric Jacobson stars as Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear, Animal, and Sam Eagle. The executive producers are Bill Prady, Bob Kushell, Randall Einhorn, Bill Baretta, Kyle Laughlin, and Debbie McClellan.
