The Vampire Diaries Preview: Can Stefan Really Recover from the Events of the Summer?

by Clarissa / November 14, 2013

The Vampire DiariesThe Silas-Amara-Tessa story came to an end in this week’s episode of The Vampire Diaries. Damon came up with the idea to have Tessa do a spell to make Bonnie the Other Side anchor so that she could be brought back to life. The witch was able to use doppelganger blood to work the spell, but Amara wanted to die and nearly convinced Silas to kill her before Stefan interrupted and wanted to kill Silas himself. Silas died and Amara stabbed herself, but Damon was too late to stop her. It looked like all hope was lost, but Tessa’s spell kicked in in the nick of time. Unfortunately, Bonnie becoming the anchor now means that every supernatural being who dies will “pass through” her, causing immeasurable pain. And Tessa killed herself after that Amara and Silas died, leaving Katherine — who had gone to her for help — without a cure for her rapid aging.

In next week’s Vampire Diaries, Stefan is still feeling the after-effects of remembering his time in the box. Back at Whitmore College, Elena and Caroline decide to throw a big party, but their plans are interrupted when Jesse asks for Caroline’s help. Later, at the party, Elena bonds with Aaron and Bonnie tries to cope with her painful new reality. Finally, Damon makes a discovery about a secret society.

Watch a preview below for the November 21 episode of The Vampire Diaries airing at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
