Tyrant Season 2 Premiere Preview: Facing Deathby calvin / June 13, 2015
Tyrant is back and the season premiere is coming up in just a few more days. Despite all the difficulties the TV series faced, including needing to shift the filming location to Turkey after the Gaza conflict last summer, the first season still garnered an average of 5.1 million total viewers and it was high enough for FX to renew the series for another season last September. The second season will have 13 episodes, which is three more than the first season.
Tyrant follows Bassam (Barry) Al-Fayeed, who previously lived in the United States, going back to his family in a Middle Eastern nation. In last season’s season finale, Bassam (Barry) Al-Fayeed had been exposed for treason for seeking to covertly overthrow the government and faces the death penalty.
Tyrant is produced by Fox 21 and FX Productions and created by Gideon Raff. The stars for the series — Adam Rayner, Jennifer Finnigan, and Ashraf Barhom — will also be returning for season 2. Check out a sneak peek of the premiere below.
The season premiere of Tyrant season 2 will air on June 16 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT on FX Networks.
